
Ballet-ex choreography has now become a fixture in the panorama of Italian choreographic creation and that has seen the birth of many Italian and foreign talents who have later made their way into the field of choreography
Rules:
Art. 1 The competition “Choreographic Ballet-ex ”is an event dedicated to choreographic creation in all its forms , and is open to soloists, pas de deux and groups of students of dance schools and emerging companies.
Each school/group may choose to participate in the competition or join the event as a review.(Non-competitively)
Prizes (first, second and third for each category baby, junior and senior and professional)will be awarded to the quality and originality of works divided into genres
-classical/neoclassical/repertory
-modern,
-contemporary ,
-other styles (urban dances, character, flamenco, dance theater, fusion, contamination, etc.)
Art. 2 Students to dancers from 5 years old and up without age limit may participate, which will be divided into categories:
-baby from 5 to 10 years old
-juniors from 11 to 14
-seniors from 15 years and older.
- professional Young artists with professional experience
If there are mixed groups, an average of the students will be taken and the group must be placed in the category in which the majority of the students are present , the out-ages cannot be more than 2 and more than two years older than the designated category.
Art. 3 All styles of dance are allowed.
Art. 4 The event will be held on a single day , Saturday, April 12 starting at 3 p.m. at the Orione Theater in Rome, via Tortona 7 ,Re di Roma area. Any changes in times will be communicated in a timely manner
Art. 5 The maximum time for each group submitting is 4 minutes (more than one group may be show). Soloists are allowed a maximum time of 2 minutes , pas de deux of 2 minutes and 40 seconds. It is essential for the choreographer to respect the minute length of the performances, if you have longer music it must be faded out.
Art. 6 Each piece of music that is submitted must be sent to the email festival@balletex.com in mp3 format it is essential that the files are named with the title of the song and the category in order not to be confused with songs of other contestants that may have the same title. Submissions via whatapp will not be accepted as they give rise to errors in the contest phase
Art. 7 Any scenic objects should be easy to remove.
Art. 8 There are no stage rehearsals, only the baby groups who book will be allowed to have a quick stage viewing The groups will receive a precise program, in which they will have to report to the theater and be allowed to enter the dressing rooms. For a safety factor and to avoid overcrowding in the dressing rooms, each school may go down to the dressing rooms only at the designated time with only 1 chaperone for every 10 students . The dressing rooms are to be used only as transit for changing , no standing in the dressing rooms, nor backstage . Only dancers and students of the category belonging to the current performance may stay backstage and in the dressing rooms .
Art.9 Participation is subject to payment of the registration fee to Ballet-ex
€ 25 per dancer
Dancers who want to dance twice ( but must be the same dancers dancing twice) will pay € 40 instead of € 50.
– € 60, for soloists
– € 90, for duets
A soloist who also dances in the group will pay € 50 instead of € 60
A pas de de deux whose members also dance in the group will pay 80 euros instead of 90

Art.10 at the end of the event the following awards will then be announced:
1,2 and 3 prizes for each category baby, junior, senior, professional
On the occasion of the event, the L’Acquario prize was established, dedicated to the memory of gallery owner Emilia Simona founder of the historic Roman gallery L’acquario , who believed so much in art and the strength of young artists. Therefore, prizes will be awarded (one for each category,baby, junior and senior) those works that have as their theme a figurative work from a historical period of their choice. The work may be projected as a background
Other prizes may be awarded at the discretion of the jury

-best group work
-best choreographic idea
-scenic impact
-critics’ award
Prizes will consist of trophies, certificates, dance clothing, scholarships
Art. 11To enter the Ballet-ex choreography competition,” schools must send in the following by March 25, 2025
– Entry form (click to open the form, you can fill it out online) bearing the school’s data and the details of the piece they wish to perform.
By e-mail to festival@balletex.com
– if you wish to make the transfer, a copy of the payment made of the registration fees, not the tickets, which instead must be paid at the venue
– Names of participants with relevant data (first and last name, address , place and date of birth
– Musical mp3 file of the song to be performed
-number of tickets you wish to reserve

Art:12 Tickets
– each participant is entitled to 1 ticket at a special rate of 5 euros , tickets at 5 euros must be reserved 15 days before the event by email
-Other tickets can be purchased at 10 euro.

or at the box office, it is preferable and recommended to reserve tickets to be picked up at the box office . For Siae regulations tickets must be paid at the box office and not by bank transfer
Public entrance is set 30 minutes before the performance
